Beginning Quilting 101

Description: If you have been wanting to learn to quilt or tried to quilt on your own and ran into obstacles, then this series of classes is for you. We’ll cover everything from start to finish with a Friendship Star quilt, a pattern I made in my first quilt class 27 years ago. We’ll start with the basics – quilting terms, how to read a pattern, proper technique using a rotary cutter – and then continue on thru piecing the blocks, putting them together, then quilting and binding. After the five classes, you’ll have a finished quilt you’ll be proud to say “I made that” – I promise!! The first series of classes was a great success, all students finished their quilts ….. come join us and make your own Friendship star quilt this summer.
