Jagged X

The Jagged X pattern is a free pattern from Jordan Fabrics in Oregon. Donna Jordan is the pattern designer but it is a free pattern on her web site.  Jordanfabrics.com/pages/jagged-x is the page for the pattern. I didn’t do mine quite the same way. I made mine longer with still only one jelly roll but less on the borders. I will hand out the changes during the class.

You will need one jelly roll and 2 to 2 ¼ yards of background fabric. 2 yards of border fabric for inner resting strip, outer border, and binding.
It goes faster if you cut your background strips and darker jelly rolls into 2 ½ by 3 ½ in strips. You don’t need to cut all of them but have a good quantity done for the first class. Put the cut pieces into baggies to keep them organized. Save the leftover ends of the jelly roll and background fabric as we will use those in one of the borders.

Bring a sewing machine in good working order, with a new needle. (Lots of sewing and chain piecing.) Also standard sewing supplies (thread to go with the background, scissors, seam ripper, etc.)
