Quick and Easy Quilt Block

A fast and easy way to make quilt blocks for any project by using scraps, yardage or charm packs.

Two techniques will be taught in this class.

This will not be a completed project. This is a hands on class in which you will make blocks to understand how this unique technique works. Then take this information and make your own blocks with your own colors and choice of fabric sizes.

Supplies needed.

• Sewing Machine: good working sewing machine with power cord and foot peddle 
• Quarter inch foot: for sewing a 1/4” seam.
• 1 spool of thread and full bobbin: Any color of your choice—white works best.
• Good pair of sharp fabric scissors: 6” or 8” in length are the best.  Shorter ones will work but for the best results, longer scissors are better. 
• Fabric marker: your choice, chalk, disappearing pen.
• Fabric ruler:  at least 12” long and no wider than 3”. 
• Clips or pins: what you like to use.
• If you have a small cutting mat (6 X 12) you can bring that and a rotary cutter.  There will be cutting mats and rotary cutters available.
