Cartonnage Class: Create Your Own Fabric-Covered Bookmark

Discover the traditional French craft of cartonnage, the art of making custom fabric- or paper-covered boxes, trays, organizers, and cases from sturdy paperboard using just glue and fabric. We’ll start small with a bookmark project, a perfect way to learn the basics. No sewing machine needed!

All supplies are provided. Feel free to bring your own non-directional quilting cotton or batik fabric: three pieces, each 10″ x 4″, with one piece contrasting or coordinating.
